Our six-step enrolment process is designed to ensure that both you and your child feel confident and informed about becoming part of the Sheldon College community. Let's take a closer look at the key steps that will help you join our vibrant learning environment and set your child on a path to academic excellence and personal growth.
Step 1: Contact Enrolments Office for information
- By completing our contact form, or
- Visiting us at our Discover Sheldon events, or
- By telephoning the Enrolments Team on (07) 3206 5505.
Step 2: Take a College tour
Prospective parents and their children will then have the opportunity to meet with our Enrolments team and take a tour of the College.
Step 3: Submit an application form
Complete the online Enrolment Application including payment of a non-refundable application fee of $160. Successful lodgement of an online application will be acknowledged by email, and your child will be placed in the waiting pool.
Step 4: Interview process
From here, should an opportunity arise for your child, we will be in contact to arrange an enrolment interview. The interview is a great opportunity for us to learn more about your family and children and allows you an opportunity to meet with a member of our leadership team and explore the option of a visit day.
Step 5: Offer and acceptance
After a successful interview and if a position is available, a letter of offer will be sent. Parents have up to 14 days to accept the position.
Step 6: Orientation
As the year draws to a close and your child prepares to join Sheldon College, you will receive invitations to a variety of College events designed to help you and your child make meaningful connections within our community. These gatherings provide excellent opportunities to meet fellow students, parents, and faculty, fostering a sense of belonging even before the College year begins.
In addition to these events, we will provide you with comprehensive details about our thorough Orientation Program. This program ensures that your child is well-prepared and comfortable in their new environment, easing the transition and setting the stage for a successful start at Sheldon College.
