Founding and Early Years

Sheldon College was founded in 1997 as an independent, non-denominational, not-for-profit and co-educational school with 110 students and 6 teachers. Established by Dr. Lyn Bishop, our founding Principal, the College began with a commitment to academic excellence, personal growth, and community service. From its inception, Sheldon College has strived to create an environment that nurtures the holistic development of every student.

Growth and Development

From its humble beginnings, Sheldon College has grown significantly in both size and reputation. The initial campus facilities were modest, but with a clear strategic vision and a dedicated community, the College rapidly expanded. Over the years, we have added state-of-the-art facilities including advanced science labs, a modern library, dedicated arts and sports complexes, and innovative learning spaces.
