Sheldon College further enhanced its reputation for quality Cross Country running at the recent Queensland All Schools Championships, held at Limestone Park in Ipswich.  Once again we  finished as the top ranked P-12 school in the state, also placing second out of all secondary schools and third out of all primary schools.

16 Sheldon College students achieved top 20 placings in their highly competitive races, with medals awarded to the following students:

  • Riley Niven – Bronze 18 Year Boys
  • Emily Witt – Bronze 18 Year Girls
  • GOLD - 17yrs Boys (Sam Heeremans, Innis Hooper, Kai Haynes)
  • GOLD - 10yrs Boys (Chad Rae, Bryce Lio, Darcy Lenz)
  • SILVER - 18yrs Boys (Riley Niven, Nick Schooth, Magnus Prain)
  • SILVER - 16yrs Girls (Lucy Schooth, Amelia McDonald, Madison Pitman)
  • SILVER - 12yrs Boys (Adam Wills, Blake Davies, Will Jones)

These outstanding results came in the same month that Sheldon College claimed both the Primary and Secondary Aggregate Cups at the GBC Cross Country Championships.  Many of our athletes are now looking forward to the Queensland Cross Country Relay Championships, to be held at the end of this term at Nudgee College.
