It is testament to the wonderfully inclusive culture we have here at Sheldon College, that the Captain and Vice-captain of our first football team feel sufficiently safe and secure to also front up as the leads in the Senior College Musical; sing and play instruments as part of various ensembles; act; and dance in productions such as Just Dance and the Arts Academy Awards.

Year 12 twins, Zeph and Quinn Chambers, are also the backbone of the Senior Theatresports team, where their mental and physical agility and ability to improvise and think under pressure, have helped them and the team to previous Qld Youth Theatresports Grand Finals. In addition, according to Performance Manager and Theatresports Teacher, Mr Alastair Tomkins, Zeph and Quinn are well on their way to taking control of their journey beyond high schooling by organising their own performances and gigs outside of their extensive College commitments.

In the words of their Musical Director and Sheldon Firsts’ Football Coach, Mr Darren Harvey, “Zeph and Quinn’s story is proof that this College is a very rare place, where students can be free and fearless in their pursuit of the best version of themselves, in whichever context they choose. It is a great place for boys to feel safe to develop into modern day men, secure in who they are and their ability to make their way in the world”.

Zeph and Quinn you are an inspiring mix of hard-working, athletic and artistic intelligence and plain old “nice guy” and we can’t wait to witness your trajectories in the years ahead. Zeph and Quinn will take to the stage as age-old nemeses Valjean and Javert in this year’s Senior College Musical, Les Miserables. To witness these talented students in action, ensure you book your tickets early. Tickets go on sale via www.TryBooking.com on Friday 19 March.
