Spanning from Monday 2 November to Friday 6 November, the College students, parents and staff celebrated World Teachers’ Week.

This year’s theme for the staff at Sheldon College was ‘You are key to my success’ a very meaningful phrase that most certainly rings true in a school setting.

Every year, World Teachers’ Week provides an opportunity to recognise and celebrate the incredible contributions teachers have made as they continue to teach the future generations.

To say thank you, parents across the College opened their hearts and pulled together, generously providing an enjoyable afternoon tea for all teachers, which included many delicious home-made goodies.

Additionally, one special family donated a number of flowers which were able to be handed out to each and every teacher.

Heart-warming messages of appreciation and encouragement were written across all mirrors in staff bathrooms and the teachers were thrown a special thank you Assembly on the Friday morning by Mr Rick Samuels, Director of Community Engagement.

World Teachers’ Week proved be a wonderful success with each teacher personally thanked by way of generous gifts for the outstanding job that they do and for their continued self-sacrifice that has supported the students, especially through what has been a very difficult year.

Sheldon College is incredibly blessed with its high calibre of staff, who constantly go above and beyond for the students.

Teachers, thank you for the wonderful work you do, for never failing to help our students learn and above all else for building solid and long-lasting relationships with each of the students you teach. Your work never goes unnoticed and the impact you leave behind will never fade.
