Building Resilience in Business: Redland Women in Business Lead the Front
On Thursday 8 February, the Redland Women in Business held their first Resilience In Business Forum at the Sheldon College Event Centre in the Horizons Room. The Redland City Chamber of Commerce identified a need for a dedicated series of workshops designed specifically for the business women in Redlands to meet and network. The Redland Women in Business network creates opportunities for women to reap the rewards of sustainable, profitable and strong business in the Redlands.
The Resilience in Business event was the first of a series of workshops to be held at the Sheldon Event Centre. The workshops will be presented by Sheldon College Founder and Principal/CEO Dr Lyn Bishop on a range of topics.
Participants benefitted from sharing their experiences and engaging in an interactive workshop centred around Resilience in Business from a picturesque setting on campus with first-class catering.
Rebecca Young, new Redland Women in Business Chairperson and owner of Personalised Freight Solutions said “We have developed these forums to help our business community, and with Dr Lyn Bishop being such a leader in the community, we thought it was a really fitting forum to put to the local businesses. Feedback on the Forum has been really positive and we are all business owners or in business and the forum on Resilience has been a great reminder and helped to give us a bit more self-awareness in what we are doing in business.”
